Rickshaw Run 2026 – Journey for Change!

Kutch Madhapar Community (UK) is proud to take on an unforgettable challenge with two dedicated teams, supporting the Make A Change Foundation (Charity No. 1202197). Together, we are raising vital funds to run a 4-day medical camp in Kenya, providing essential healthcare to those who need it most.

The challenge

Route: Chhapaiya to Bhuj
Dates: 31st March โ€“ 6th April 2026
Distance: 1,600+ km of purpose-driven adventure

Why are they participating

This journey is not about distance or endurance, it is about compassion, humanity, and the belief that everyone deserves the right to basic medical care.

In parts of Kenya, families live without access to doctors, medicines, or even the simplest healthcare services we often take for granted. A fever, an infection, or a treatable condition can become life-threatening simply because help is out of reach.

Our Rickshaw riders are taking on this challenge to change that reality, to help deliver medical support directly to those who need it most. Their motivation is rooted in a shared desire to make a lasting difference, to give hope, and to stand in solidarity with vulnerable communities.

Words to Inspire

  1. โ€œOf all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhuman.โ€ โ€“ Martin Luther King Jr.
  2. โ€œHealth is a human right. It is not a matter of charity, but of justice.โ€ โ€“ World Health Organization

How you can support

You can be part of this mission too. Stand with our teams by:

  • Joining the KMC WhatsApp group
  • Following our Facebook and Instagram pages

This is where all fundraising pages will be shared, and when our participants set off to India, you will be able to follow their journey every step of the way.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will help provide medicines, consultations, and treatments to those who would otherwise go without. Together, we can ensure that no one is left behind simply because healthcare is out of reach.

Your support will not only encourage our Rickshaw riders, it will bring life-saving care to those who need it most. Together, we can turn this challenge into lasting change.

Profile of our ‘Runners’

Rahul Jina

Next year, Iโ€™m taking on the unforgettable Rickshaw Run, a 1,600+ km journey from Chhapaiya to Bhuj (31st March โ€“ 6th April 2026). Alongside the Kutch Madhapar Community (UK) team, Iโ€™ll be navigating this adventure to raise funds for a cause close to my heart.
Weโ€™re supporting the Make A Change Foundation (Charity No. 1202197) to deliver a 4-day medical camp in Kenya, bringing essential healthcare to communities with little or no access to it. For me, this is more than just a challenge; itโ€™s about tackling the deeper issues of health inequalities. Where you are born, live, and work can determine your health outcomes, yet access to basic medical care should never be a privilege. It should be a right.
By raising funds for this camp, weโ€™re helping to bridge that gap, offering vital treatment and support to people who might otherwise go without. Access to healthcare isnโ€™t just about medicine. Itโ€™s about dignity, opportunity, and giving communities the chance to thrive.
Iโ€™d love for you to join us on this journey. Follow along on social media and join the KMC WhatsApp group to cheer us on and support us once fundraising links go live.

Iโ€™m taking part in the Rickshaw Run because I want to combine adventure with purpose. For me, itโ€™s about more than just the journey across India โ€“ itโ€™s about using that journey to raise money for Make A Change Foundation. The funds will go directly towards running a 4-day medical camp in Kenya, giving vital healthcare to people who need it most. Iโ€™m driven by the idea that this adventure can create lasting impact far beyond myself, and creating real change for people who otherwise wouldnโ€™t have access to essential medical support.

I’m taking part in the Rickshaw Run 2026 โ€” a chaotic, 3-wheeled adventure across India โ€” not just for the challenge and laughs, but to raise vital funds for a great cause.
The money raised will go towards a 4-day medical camp in rural Kenya, providing free healthcare, medications, and support to communities with limited access to medical services. For many, this camp will be their only opportunity for proper medical care all year.
I’m proud to support this effort as a way to give back โ€” every mile (technically kilometres) covered brings care and hope to someone who needs it.
Follow the journey. Support the cause. Be part of something that truly makes a difference.’

Iโ€™m taking on the incredible challenge of the Rickshaw Run from Chappaiya to Bhuj to support the Madhapar community and raise vital funds for setting up a medical camp in Kenya for 4 days. This journey is not just about adventureโ€”itโ€™s about purpose. Iโ€™m driven by the belief that access to healthcare should not depend on geography, and through this ride, I hope to make a meaningful difference where itโ€™s needed most.

I am getting involved with the Rickshaw Run 2026 because I really want to help people in a meaningful way. This is not just about taking part in the Rickshaw Run, it is about supporting the 4-day medical camp in Kenya and the difference it can make to peopleโ€™s lives. At the same time, it feels like an exceptional opportunity to connect meaningfully with my community and learn more about our culture throughout the journey. I am looking forward to being a part of something that brings people together while raising awareness and funds for such an important cause.
