I decided to join the youth team to get more involved in the community and help bring new and fresh ideas to our gaam events.
I want to help engage the younger members of KMC in a way that is relevant and current and work alongside a like minded team to achieve this. The youth team is also a great way to meet new people and get involved in new opportunities together.
I decided to join the youth committee because it’s a great way to make a positive impact on our gaam by voicing opinions and collaborate with others who share similar passions. It’s also a chance to build connections, learn from experienced members and be directly involved in shaping decisions that affect our generation.
I joined the youth team in 2023, not really knowing what to expect since I had never been part of an organization like this before. However, over time, I connected with some incredible people. As a team, we organize events, internal meetings, and nights out that help strengthen our bond.
My background is in social media and photography, and I manage the Madhapar (KMC) Instagram account, creating graphics and posts to ensure the account runs smoothly.
My goal is to create engaging content that captures the attention of our community and encourages everyone to come together for the events we host.
Joining the youth team seemed like the best way to meet people in the community. Deciding to join the team means that I can make a contribution and help bring different ideas together with new people. I hope to encourage other people, in my age group, to socialise and engage more within our community. Previously, I have contributed by creating banners and posters for the stage show,as well as, helping with the photography at the annual function. By joining the youth team, you can share your own skills and expertise with others too!
I have joined the youth team with the goal of meeting new people and contributing fresh ideas to our community. One of my main focuses is to tailor some of the events specifically to the younger generation, encouraging more of us to get involved. After all, we are the future of KMC, and it’s important that we have a voice in shaping its future.

With my passion for performing, I’ve had the opportunity to choreograph and perform in the annual hall event, giving me valuable insight into how things operate and where improvements can be made. My goal is to create an exciting environment by introducing vibrant dances and cultural performances that resonate with everyone. At the same time, I believe it’s crucial to preserve tradition while also paving the way for new ones. By collaborating with the youth team, we can blend time-honored practices with innovative ideas to strengthen and unify our community.

It has also provided me with opportunities to develop skills that are valuable in my personal and professional life.
